Monday June 24th we headed to Utah for a week of fun. First stop was Morgan to see my Grandparents. The girls know right where the toys are and love to play with them.... Might I add that these are the toys I played with when I went to grandma's house. It is fun to see them love those toys as much as I did.
We got to Morgan by noon, so we were able to enjoy lunch with gma and gpa.
While the kids played and I visited, Drew got busy trimming bushes and fixing a few things around the yard. Grandpa even felt good enough to walk out and check his progress.
Grandpa had a heart attack 1 1/2 years ago and since then he just hasn't felt good. It breaks my heart to see his energy level so low, his appetite basically nothing, and his body language just tells you he doesn't feel good...
One thing he hasn't lost, is his sense of humor... He always has a joke for something!
This year they will be the Grand Marshalls in the Morgan Parade and Fair and will be recognized at the rodeo each night.
When I had mentioned this-
Grandpa said, " I don't know why they chose us.... that is for old people."
After 2 quick hours- we gave our hugs and said "see ya later" and headed to Centerville to see more family. The girls were so excited to hold and see baby Keyan for the first time.
We had a great dinner together with most of the cousins from my side, played, and of course took lots of pictures.
I am thankful that we had all my siblings together- even though it was quick- it was great!
I think dad would be proud of the kids/ adults we have become.
Thanks mom for doing such a fantastic job at raising us!
