THIS IS THE LONGEST POST IN THE HISTORY OF POSTS..
BUT WHEN YOU HAVE SO MUCH FUN IN 4 DAYS, YOU HAVE TO SHARE (ALMOST) EVERY MOMENT!
This year it was decided that we would go and do something together for Spring Break.
The past few years we just hung out at home for one reason or another.
But what do you do, when it is still cold outside...
you find someplace that has a fun inside!
Drew found that in Kellogg Idaho, is an indoor water park.
It was something different, and would be a fun adventure...
We left Monday morning (25th) and made it to Lewiston for the first night.
The first picture of the trip was a much needed leg stretch on the side of the road near the rail road.
We then checked into our Hotel- which wasn't the best smelling or really did it give us the feeling of clean- But it was too late to change our reservation- so we stuck with it.
so we found other things to do and see rather than sit in the hotel till bedtime.
We found a fun running path that had several little fitness stops along the way...
For dinner we crossed the bridge from Lewiston and went to Clarkston Washington.
The girls thought it was great to eat in Washington..
***History Time**
Aubree has learned a lot of Idaho history this year, and talked about the Lewis and Clark expedition. IT wasn't until we were home, that we were told, and realized that Lewiston Idaho and Clarkston Washington were named after Lewis and Clark... She was excited about that!

After dinner we found the Locomotive Park and played and explored the old train.
After a not so good night's sleep, we were up and in the car early headed towards Kellogg. After 2 hours is the car, we got to Coeurd'Alene, and walked on the longest floating dock, fed a few hundred seagulls.. It was beautiful.
It was then back in the car and we were in Kellogg by 10:30 local time... but 11:30 to us... So we stopped at Subway for lunch and then checked into the Resort!
It was beautiful and so nice!
It really made the place we stayed at the night before seem really bad...
I am sure they have a variety of room sizes, but because there is six of us, we had to have a large room. It was so fun.. There was a master bedroom downstairs, with a full bath, kitchen, and family room. Then up the spiral staircase was a queen bed, with a daybed and trundle. The girls were ecstatic!

Then it was time to play...

We played for several hours, then took a break and made dinner. It was a nice little break, we then headed back for more water fun.
We played till we were too tired to play anymore.
Wed. morning the water park didn't open until 10- So we had a few hours to spare and find something to do. We tried to find a small shop for the kids to do a little shopping in, but had no luck.
So we took a little drive around old town Kellogg and found several little photo ops.
No one, but Drew wanted to go on the highway to the next little town 10 miles away, but since he was the driver, we didn't have a choice. There was a small little miners stop that we ran around and took pictures. It was cold and rainy so we didn't stay long.
We got back just in time to change our clothes, pack up the car and hit the water one more time!
By 2pm. we were watered out and hit the road back to Lewiston to stay another night. This time we stayed at a better hotel.
I loved the scenery of Northern Idaho.
The rolling farm lands, then windy roads in pine trees, and so many cute little towns... so pretty!
Drew and I are so thankful for our sweet family. That we can get in the car and travel, and the girls are so good and that they usually get along. Going to Kellogg was a fun adventure, one that we won't soon forget!
