Brae requested a butter braid for breakfast! We all thanked her for that! YUMMY! We also had a fun friend party planned for her. A Paint party! We painted wooden owls, painted fingernails, made homemade pizza, and a few other fun games. We also had a little photo booth with props. She got tons of fun owl things. Dad missed the party because he was working, but we planned to take cake to the station. Well, he surprised us with decorations, a big balloon and even a pinata... Braelyn felt very special for her birthday and was more than spoiled!

Kitchen update
Back in 2011 we tore out the flooring and put in Oak Hardwood floors... It was finally time to change the cupboards...
Here are some before pictures...
We took all the door and drawers off and made a work station in the garage.
The de-glossing and painting began. We went with a Rustolium Cabinet Transformation kit.. It came with everything we needed. Now it just would take time..
We stared with one coat of white, then two, and finally added one more...
A huge thank you to Drew's mom and all her painting help.
It was actually nice having all the doors off for a week or so.. we commented a lot on how it was nice to get things out of the cupboard without having to open a door..
It also got me organizing all the stuff that we have (and throwing a bunch away too) YAY!
Once the paint was dry, I applied the gel stain, and wiped it off to get the desired look. It was a fun project that took me 2 days (drew was on shift) I felt like they were all pretty even and the same.. now that they are back in the kitchen, there area few that are darker than what I would like, but I can't change them now... so we go with it!
We then finally chose a wall paint color... on the swatch it was gray.. but on the walls, it is a light blue.. but I love the grayish- blue color!
It has taken a while to figure out back splash.. and that is a long story in itself... (ask me sometime)
but we went with tin, and it is painted the wall color..
Last will be knobs and handles for the doors... (when we can make a decision)
Back to school!
School is officially back in session.
Hallie is loving 1st grade and has an amazing teacher.
Braelyn is excited for 3rd grade and the challenges it will bring of multiplication and cursive writing.
Aubree is nervous but so excited for Middle School. She had her locker combination and class schedule all memorized in plenty of time.
Kara is the queen of the school! She is excited for what 8th grade with bring with choir, Honors English and National Jr. Honor Society. We are proud to report she was voted in by her peers to be president!
We know it will be a great year!
Now, what do these crazy parents do with themselves.

Drew gave each of the girls father's blessings. They were each sweet and perfect for each one. We had one last fun outing before school started, at the Village where we enjoyed ice cream and the fountains.
