Christmas

For a few days we had a deep fog, which made the trees, bushes, ect look beautiful... it was fun to see, but even more fun to see the sun after a few days.
Aubree started learning the flute when she started school in Sept... They had their first band concert just before Christmas and did a great job! We are amazed at how she has loved learning the flute, and she is good! Way to go Aubree!

Kara had a piano recital and choir concert both the same night... She was able to quickly play her recital piece, then we rushed to the concert! What a fun night that truly put us in the Christmas spirit!

The few days that lead up to Christmas, the Brae and Hallie had a fun photo op with a few snowmen...

With the first snow, we went to grandma and grandpa's to be pulled behind the 4wheeler...
the kids had  a blast!

The snow was very powdery, but a few days later, it warmed enough to be perfect snowman making snow... So, by themselves, the girls made our family, in snow.

With Dad's work schedule, we had our Christmas early... so our Christmas Eve was on the 23rd... Aubree had fun making napkin rings, and Santa hat table name tags for our dinner.

As tradition goes, the girls draw names and buy a gift for each other, and they get to open in on Christmas eve...

 Our Christmas morning (Dec.24th)
We were up by 7.. everything was open by 8... had breakfast, and hung out for bit, then Dad headed to work..

For the 2 nights that Drew worked, we pulled mattresses in my room, and all slept together... We spent time reading Christmas stories until our eyes could stay awake no longer.

Aubree is 11!

We love our sweet Aubree and were excited to celebrate her and her life as she turned 11.... I can't believe she is 11. Time is going way too fast.  She got a cute new coat, rubber bands for bracelet making, a new shirt, and nail stuff. She had a great day at school, and we took her to dinner at Chili's, then it was home for homemade cheesecake...

Dinner out, and cheesecake was also to celebrate Drew's 37th birthday. He is always a good sport to combine his celebration with Aubree..

Hello December!

Braelyn's Baptism....

We are so thankful for Kim and the darling pictures she captured of Brae in her dress...  I was able to make her dress with a lot of help from Grandma Pat. It was a tricky pattern, but we made it happen and I am so glad we did. Brae just loves her dress!
We were excited to have G&G Roll, aunt Jodi, the Lucas' G&G Young, neighbors, friends from the ward, and fire family come to her baptism. It was great to have so much support from friends and family. We are so proud of Brae and her choice to be baptized. She knows what is right, and knows how important it is to follow her Savior Jesus Christ's example.  She is a light in our lives, and always makes us smile!
Here are a few pictures of her actual day....
